Attorney Abby Bakos is well-known in the legal community for her integrity and the superior representation she provides to each one of her clients. Since beginning her career nearly a decade ago, Ms. Bakos has stood firm in her dedication to treating everyone, clients and colleagues alike, with respect and honesty regardless of race, social class, age or gender. It was these principles (principles that she lives by in her personal and professional life) that inspired her to partner with a like-minded colleague and build a law firm that is different from the rest.
For the last eight years, Ms. Bakos has worked primarily as a federal civil rights litigator and trial attorney acting as lead counsel on several high-profile civil cases. In her pursuit of justice for each one of her clients, Ms. Bakos employs a calculated and aggressive litigation style: a litigation style with proven success that has resulted in settlements amounting to millions.
While attending law school, Ms. Bakos was on The Dean’s List: an annual honorary award given to students who finish in the top third of their class. Ms. Bakos also obtained several Cali awards for achieving the highest grades and was invited onto law review, a scholarly journal, following her 1L year.
Ms. Bakos is currently licensed to practice law in Illinois and Arizona and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the Bar for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
